Consulting

What is consultation?

Consultation, in short, is an opportunity for you to have a focused, individualized deep dive into a case conceptualization, a diagnosis, a client experience, or an experience you had as a professional. This is not clinical supervision; rather, this allows you to name what you need professionally and receive specialized and focused support around the issue. Typically, individual and group consultation focuses on one topic and lasts 60 minutes (individual) or 90 minutes (group). Consultation can be a one-time meeting or, if beneficial, can be scheduled as a series.

INDIVIDUAL CONSULTING

I provide individual consultation to other therapists and therapists-in-training, students, health care and human services professionals, and any other community member looking for clinical and professional education and support.

GROUP CONSULTATION

Similar to individual consultation, I offer consultation to groups of professionals looking for clinical and professional education and support.

Consultation Frequently Asked Questions

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

My fees for consultation are based on an equity-based sliding scale. As such, I offer a free 15-minute discovery call with anyone interested to determine an appropriate and equitable cost for the consultation.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

After our discovery call, I will gather any resources that I feel may be helpful and will bring them to our meeting. Additionally, I will provide a list of relevant informational and community resources related to your consultation topic for your use after our meeting.

WHAT IS YOUR CONSULTATION STYLE?

I appreciate a conversational, collaborative style with enough structure to stay on track and make sure you get the information you need. I utilize humor, personal and professional experiences, and relevant research in all consultations.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RUN OUT OF TIME?

All topics I offer consultation about have their own complexities and as such, it is possible that we may run out of time before all of your questions are answered. If this is the case, I am always happy to schedule additional consultation appointments as needed.
